Whitecroft Garden Fountain514 zobrazeníVic, Andy, and crew just installed a new pump, filter system, and and some underwater lights. The water is much cleaner, and there's no blanket weed (yet). I love the sound of the water in the metal trays of the fountain -- a bit like a wind chime.

Our Room at the Hotel Plaza, Torino514 zobrazeníWe were able to find a hotel room in Torino for our last two nights at the Olympics. Our hotel, the grandly-named Hotel Plaza, was clean and remarkably inexpensive. But the room was also very, very "compact."

York Minster Cathedral -- Ceiling of the Chapter House514 zobrazeníMarjorie had to almost lie on her back to take this photo straight up, right to the ceiling of the Chapter House. It's amazing to read that this was constructed in the 1260's.

Betty's in York514 zobrazeníThis was like a clean Swiss cafe in Zurich, except for the fact that it was in York. It seemed to have a steady queue. We had a great lunch there, and bought some delicious cookies and pastry. (That's our car parked in front. I guess we could have driven inside.)

Kiko514 zobrazeníThe Lygon Arms Hotel in Broadway, in the Cotswolds, is only about 20 miles from Lucies Farm. It's a dog-friendly hotel, so we occasionally take the dogs there to enjoy cream tea with us. Kiko is waiting for the arrival of the food.

Marjorie Comforting Kiko514 zobrazeníKiko is waiting to be seen by the veterinarian at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket. He had an MRI for a suspicious dark patch in his lung. The biopsy showed it was necrotic tissue, but apparently not a tumor.
