The Sisters in A Park In Perth, Australia688 viewsMarjorie, Little Legs, Cathy, and Ann in a park in downtown Perth that has a big tree on its side. We were in Perth to interview sales people for Transax Australia.

Cao Dai Temple, Viet Nam682 views"Indigenous to Vietnam Cao Dai is a fusion of the best from Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism, with Christianity and Islam thrown in for good measure. Cao Daoism was founded in Vietnam only as recently as the 1920's as the answer to the ultimate ideal religion and insists that its' earth-based intermediaries or messengers include such luminaries as William Shakespeare, Joan of Arc and Napoleon Bonaparte."

British Airways Jet Taking Off from Heathrow681 viewsWe were at the 2006 Wag and Bone Show at Windsor Great Park, which (I suppose) is tecnically part of Windsor Castle. The park is in the flight path of Heathrow, with planes flying overhead every few minutes.

Nordkapp - North Cape - Norway668 viewsThe midnight sun (photographed at midnight) from the most northerly part of Europe. "The North Cape was named by English explorer Richard Chancellor in 1553 when he passed the cape in the search for a Northeast passage. From then on, it was occasionally visited by daring explorers who climbed the steep cliff face to the plateau; famous visitors include King Oscar II of Norway in 1873 and Thailand's King Chulalongkorn in 1907. Today, the North Cape is a major tourist attraction."

Big and Little Clowns, Germany667 viewsSomewhere in Germany -- probably Baden Baden. I've never liked clowns: I find them unsettling. And here are two of them, big and little.

Taking a stroll across the bridge656 viewsThis bridge fords the River Rhine. It is right next to the Hyatt Hotel and is a pedestrian and rail bridge. Here we are off into Cologne for an evening meal of German food.

Marjorie Waiting For Our Car in Las Vegas651 viewsAt the MGM Grand Hotel. Note that Marjorie is holding some dollar bills in her right hand -- you need to be ready with the tips in Las Vegas.
cu-chi-tunnel2.jpg
Marjorie and the Viet Cong in the Cu Chi Tunnels648 viewsThe Cu Chi tunnels, a 75-mile-long underground maze where thousands of fighters and villagers could hide, are at the top of the list of tourist spots for Ho Chi Minh City. Marjorie was able to crawl through the lower levels (I'm too big). There was also this "photo op" spot, complete with fake rice bowls.

The View From Our Hotel in Northern Norway643 viewsThe brown industrial building is the rest of our hotel. We were in the "annex" on the top of the hill. Can you imagine four (or so) months of cold darkness here?
supper-club4.jpg
Steve Patch and Ann Heward at the Supper Club640 viewsI read about the Supper Club in Amsterdam in Conde Nast Traveller and we made reservations. At that time you ate on large beds. The restaurant didn't have its name on the door, wasn't in the telephone directory, and the concierge in our hotel had never heard of it. The new Supper Club website looks very swish, but perhaps not as much fun.

Marjorie Enjoying a "Sundowner" on the Mekong River623 viewsTaking a sunset boat ride on the Mekong, near Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
