Marjorie gave me a trip to Jordan on the Concorde for my 40th Birthday. Our first stop was Aqaba, where they had a reception for us. Most passengers had a lot to drink, and there were a lot of poorly passengers on the hot bus in the later afternoon.

Me Doing My Underwater Navigation Testšt. ogledov:501On a wrecked barge in the Red Sea, 1996. We chartered an Egyptian live-aboard boat and brought along three diving instructors (two from England, and Grant Graves from Malibu). We were able to dive three and four times each day, and each dive was a lesson. At the end of the trip, we all had dozens of PADI certification cards!

The North Atlantic From Our Cabin on the QE2št. ogledov:500Our cabin was at the top of the ship, so it really rock-and-rolled in the high seas. This was the first crossing of the North Atlantic by the QE2 in 1991, and we encountered 55 foot seas. The stabilisers had to be retracted, and we sailed to the south in a futile effort to avoid the worst of the weather. We were a day late arriving in New York City.
