Sewage Outfall -- Woodman's Cottage733 viewsThis is raw sewage, and it's coming into the ditch on our track -- our access to Lord's Wood. We have called this to the attention of the Malvern Hills District Council, and they have called it to the attention of the owner of Woodman's Cottage. But here, on the evening of September 19, 2005, it still pours. Fortunately, we can safely walk on the other side of the track.

Entrance to a Badger Sett -- Lord's Wood727 viewsThere's the equivalent of an apartment building for badgers at the top of one of the ridges at Lord's Wood. Using my telephoto lens, I took a photograph of one of the dozens of entrances.

Track by Lord's Wood Cottage717 viewsThis photograph shows how the tyre tracks bend to the east because the post-and-rail fence has been installed too far to the east. This is looking southward down the track, towards the road. Lord's Wood is at my back.

Some of the Trees Cut Down in Lord's Wood715 viewsAll of the trees are cut down in accordance with our Woodland Grant Scheme, and under the supervision of our forestry consultant. It's surprising how much more light this has brought into the woodland. I understand that this will help the flora on the forest floor to thrive.
