This photograph was taken from the west, facing towards the east. Marjorie is standing behind the hedge at the point 8.9 meters south of the front of the cottage. Assuming we're correct (and our surveyor is checking this now) the area to the right (south) of the red line is our property.

Marjorie Supervising the Removal of a Tree755 viewsThe trees are apparently cut down, and then dragged by tractor to the main "road" that runs through Lord's Wood. They are then taken to the consolidation area, where they await pick-up by the truck from the sawmill.

Ben and Jed Building the Bonfire at Lord's Wood753 viewsThe mission was to build a bonfire whose flames would leap up the top. This became known as the "Wall of Fire Project." We used leylandii cuttings, both from the front garden at Whitecroft and from other tree surgeons working in the area. Ben and Jed are unloading the last bit of cuttings from the trailer.
