Sewage Outfall -- Woodman's Cottage607 viewsThis is raw sewage, and it's coming into the ditch on our track -- our access to Lord's Wood. We have called this to the attention of the Malvern Hills District Council, and they have called it to the attention of the owner of Woodman's Cottage. But here, on the evening of September 19, 2005, it still pours. Fortunately, we can safely walk on the other side of the track.

Looking Northward to Lord's Wood603 viewsThe brick chicken coop (with metal leaning on its eastern wall) is shown. This should be the property line. A clump of bushes is shown just past the building, also part of the old fence line. The new post and rail wooden fence has been installed too far to the east (right in this photograph).

Lord's Wood Cottage and the Track602 viewsWe put some hard core on our very waterlogged track, running on the eastern side o Lord's Wood Cottage. Note how the lean-to garage has been reduced as a result of the move of the boundary to its correct location. Lord's Wood Cottage, owned by Thomas Hawkins, seems to be abandoned. This view is looking south down the track from the entrance to Lord's Wood.

Bromsgrove Cemetery596 viewsThe tree was recently pruned: I suspect that these graves had previously been completey covered by the overgrown tree. Just to the right of this grave were two large garbage cans. May 2005

The Road into Lord's Wood595 viewsThe cut trees are consolidated in what I call the "parking area," and then dragged out into the area where they are picked up by the truck from the sawmill.

Strange Concrete Things at front of Woodman's Cottage586 viewsIt looks like the Time Team has been doing some excavations at the front of Woodman's Cottage. When I went over to see the stacked lumber, I noticed that this strange red curb and couple of cracked pavers had been exposed. 28 October 2005
