Motor and Arm -- Stable Gatevista 628 vecesThis is the motor and arm that open and close (when they work, which they now don't) the stable gate. The wires and conductors on top of the gate and fence are unrelated to the automation system --- they are part of the Gallagher electric fence system --- to keep foxes out.

Vic Scott -- Summer at Lucies Farmvista 627 vecesIt was a gorgeous summer day yesterdy: blue, blue skies, no haze, quite warm. Vic and I were doing the traditional British thing: we were complaining that it was too hot, too sunny, too dry. So I took this photo of Vic, and said we'd both look at it when (in November) it was too cold, too wet, too dreary, and the days were too short.

Electronic Innards of Stable Gatevista 617 vecesI asked Gregorz to please remove the cover to the stable gate equipment this afternoon, and this is what we found. I believe this is the radio-control equipment, as well as a step-down transformer for the gate motor. It's been mounted about eight inches above the ground, but is always covered by a thick black cover. Gregorz had to remove a few screws to reveal the "innards."
