The Top of our Leylandii Hedge -- Ready for the Bonfirešt. ogledov:552Paul Doyle and team trimmed the top off one of our leylandii hedges, bringing much more light into our front garden. Coincidentally, we've been asked to build a large bonfire for a photo shoot. Here's the "cuttings" waiting to be moved from our track to the site of the bonfire.

Australian (and American) Flags Fly Over Lucies Farmšt. ogledov:548Ben's family just sent him an Australian flag, so up it went on one of the three flag poles by the dog resort. The American flag was already there. The British flag that we had deteriorated in the British weather. That's a pig weather vane in the foreground.

Vic Scott -- Summer at Lucies Farmšt. ogledov:534It was a gorgeous summer day yesterdy: blue, blue skies, no haze, quite warm. Vic and I were doing the traditional British thing: we were complaining that it was too hot, too sunny, too dry. So I took this photo of Vic, and said we'd both look at it when (in November) it was too cold, too wet, too dreary, and the days were too short.
