The Tamworth One284 viewsOne of our three new Tamworth ladies. The grass is still green --- they've only been on it for three days. In three weeks it will be a sea of mud. As they've been raised by the City of Gloucester in a "petting zoo" environment, they're very easy to handle.

Helicopter Overhead283 viewsTapa started barking the other night, and when he and I looked outdoors, there was a helicopter hovering across the street, pointing its searchlight about. It then went down our track, and away past the back field. I learned the next morning that there had been police cars and dogs chasing someone. The fugitive tried to get over our gate -- but the top is electrified (to keep foxes out). This is a photo of the helicopter.

My Desk - Whitecroft282 viewsThis is one of those pictures in a picture kind of picture. Here's my cluttered desk, with me working on (what else?) this photo gallery. Japanese maple outside my window: with the long summer days, the sun really shines in during the afternoon, but I don't like to shut the blinds.

Craig's Back282 viewsMy friend Bob Cavey sent me this cartoon to show me dealing with my Achilles' tendonitis and a fractured back. The look on my face says it all.

Three Old Gentleman281 viewsThese three old gentlemen --- Batman, Brad, and McVit --- are all that's left from our small herd of alpacas. We decided, after our visit to Peru, that nobody in their right mind would pay 4,000 or more for an animal that has one cria a year (if you're lucky) and can produce enough fibre for a 45 sweater each season. But they sure are cute.

Green and Blue278 viewsWhen I was a kid, I had a typewriter ribbon that was blue and green (or maybe it was purple and green) --- rather than black and red. These two plants in our garden remind me of that old typewriter.
