Underwater View of Jake589 mol gekuckt ginnI'm still getting to grips with underwater dog photography. Here's Jake, as seen from below. The PetRamp is in the background.

Underwater Pig3511 mol gekuckt ginnTo take the swimming Tamworth pig photo, the pig had to be gently pushed into the heated pool. Marjorie, in full SCUBA gear and with an underwater camera and strobe, waited for the pig to, er, fall. I was surprised at how quickly the pig sank. He then soared to the surface, like a submarine in a Sean Connery movie that's blown its ballast.

Underwater Pig2735 mol gekuckt ginnThe Tamworth pig, viewed from underwater, swimming around the pool. Taken by Marjorie --- dressed in full SCUBA gear and with an underwater Nikonos V camera. The reflection is the surface of the water, viewed from below.

Waiting to Go In The Submarine to Dinner754 mol gekuckt ginnIn the Burj al Arab, the seafood restaurant is supposedly below the sea. To get there, you take a "submarine" that's more like a Disneyland ride. I'm in the holding area, waiting for our "submarine" to arrive. The restaurant has a huge fish tank, so it's like eating (I guess) underwater.

Marjorie Waiting for Dinner641 mol gekuckt ginnWe were going to the "underwater" seafood restaurant in the Burj al Arab hotel. You need to wait in this area for your "submarine" (a bit of a Disney-esque ride) to take you underwater and out into the ocean to the submerged restaurant.

Underwater Seafood Restaurant -- Burj al Arab Hotel5672 mol gekuckt ginnThe view from our table at the underwater seafood restaurant. I don't think we were really underwater, but there was a large tank of salt water fish to keep us entertained as we ate their cousins.

Chase at the Sandy Lane Hotel, Barbados618 mol gekuckt ginnI'd just purchased a new Nikonos V underwater camera, and Chase and I were trying it out in the shallow water in front of our hotel, the Sandy Lane. Summer 1992, before starting our Windstar cruise.

Me Doing My Underwater Navigation Test499 mol gekuckt ginnOn a wrecked barge in the Red Sea, 1996. We chartered an Egyptian live-aboard boat and brought along three diving instructors (two from England, and Grant Graves from Malibu). We were able to dive three and four times each day, and each dive was a lesson. At the end of the trip, we all had dozens of PADI certification cards!
