The Day Tarmac Came499 mol gekuckt ginnThis is our second load of gravel from Tarmac for the farm drive. We had 15 tons yesterday, and this is 20 tons. What would we do without the tractor and the bucket on the front?

Marjorie Supervising the Removal of a Tree554 mol gekuckt ginnThe trees are apparently cut down, and then dragged by tractor to the main "road" that runs through Lord's Wood. They are then taken to the consolidation area, where they await pick-up by the truck from the sawmill.

The Whitecroft Track -- Looking North511 mol gekuckt ginnA view down our track, showing our farm tractor parked by our gate. Our neighbours claimed that the tractor was "blocking" the track (a track that we own). I took this photograph to show that their claim was spurious.

Whitecroft Track -- Looking South392 mol gekuckt ginnSummer afternoon, Aug 3 2006. Our white gate on the left. We own this gravel track. Our neighbours told the Council our tractor was blocking the track (our track). I took this photo to show this to be untrue.

The Contractors Carefully Measure The New Fence600 mol gekuckt ginnGreat care was taken to be sure that the fence was not over the boundary. The new fence sits entirely on our property. Morning of September 15 2006.

Down With The Old, In With The New556 mol gekuckt ginnAfter a year of litigation (commenced against us by Thomas Hawkins) we have fully prevailed. The Court-appointed expert found that the fence by Woodman's Cottage was not along the boundary line, and encroached on our property. This is important, because it has to do with "visual splays" onto the road. On September 15 2006 our contractors arrived to remove the part of the fence that encroached, and to put up our new fence along the boundary line.

A Gate in the Pig Fields590 mol gekuckt ginnIt's been a bit of a rainy, muddy winter. This field actually has field drains --- we installed them when we purchased the field in the mid-1990's. But the clay soil retains water, and it's rainy and wet here.

Stable Block752 mol gekuckt ginnPhotograhed from the stable yard, looking back at the stable block (four boxes and a tack room, concrete floors and stable yard). The house is in the background, secluded by trees. Our track is on the right in this photograph.

..... and rolling on .........416 mol gekuckt ginnAmazing how strong the case is on Marjorie's old Compaq computer. Even the full weight of the tractor can't crush it.
