Spring Morning on the Whitecroft "Canal"531 mol gekuckt ginnUp early in the morning (unusual for me) to check on the newly arrived Bronze turkeys. I spotted these yellow flowers on the banks of the small Whitecroft "canal." It's spring.

Magnolias - Whitecroft573 mol gekuckt ginnI love magnolias, especially the big white ones you find all over the place in the U.S. south --- "grandaflora" I think they're called. This year the "English" magnolias have been gorgeous. I don't know if this is because of our hot summer in 2003. Whatever the reason, they're beautiful.

Whitecroft Garden - May 2004550 mol gekuckt ginnMarjorie, the dogs, and I spent all day today --- Sunday --- outside in the glorious sunshine. As we were going in, I walked around the garden with my camera and spotted these pretty flowers. Springtime turning into summer in the English countryside.

Michaelmas Daisies - Whitecroft Garden471 mol gekuckt ginnI'd never even heard of a Michaelmas Daisy until I spotted a road sign in Malvern one day pointing to the National Michaelmas Daisy Collection. We actually paid a visit and discovered that these daisies bloom in the autumn. And, to our surprise, we have Michaelmas daisies in our garden. Here are some just outside our front lounge, blooming in October.
