Pigs in a Line326 viewsGood Friday morning, 2004. The pigs are in a nice chorus line, from left to right: the "original" Kune Kune, the Kune - Gloucester Old Spot cross (how did that happen?), the sinister Iron Age pig (now quite an elderly lady), and the Sinister - GOS cross.

Tenbury Wells - Let Us Do Your Ironing4590 viewsThis sign made me chuckle. It was in the window of a cluttered, dusty shop. And the sign itself looked like it needed a good ironing.1 comments

In the Four Acre Field8582 viewsThree different types of pigs: in the foreground, the large black pig is a fairly elderly (but hugely fast) Iron Age - Gloucester Old Spot cross. The red pig is a pure Tamworth, and the piglet coming out of the ark is a Berkshire.

Iron Age - Gloucester Old Spot10798 viewsThis round piggie is a cross between an Iron Age pig (itself a cross between a Tamworth and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot. She looks fat, and she's not young any more, but she can move faster than any of the pigs.

A Pig? Or A Hippo?259 viewsThis sow is about 10 or 11 years old. She's a cross between an Iron Age pig (itself a cross between a Tamworth and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot. While she looks incredibly fat, she's the fastest pig we have --- bar none. There is no chance, zero, of catching her.

An Iron Age Pig17697 viewsThis 11 or 12 year old pig is a cross between an Iron Age pig (which itself is a cross between a Tamworth pig and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot pig. While she looks fat, she is incredibly fast.

Tamworth Pig and "Sinister" Pig2492 viewsThe red Tamworth stands behind what we call a "sinister" pig. The "sinister" is a cross between an iron age pig (itself a cross between a wild boar and a Tamworth pig) and a Gloucester Old Spot pig.

Tamworth - Wild Boar Piglets354 viewsThese six piglets are 7/8 Tamworth and 1/8 Wild Boar. Most of the six look like they're pure Tamworth, but a couple have black snouts and black circles around their eyes. The six were raised alongside a wild sow and a wild boar, so they're quite feisty. They're off to participate in an "Iron Age" lifestyle experiment --- as I understand it, school children will be able to see how folks actually lived in the Iron Age.

Craig in the Hospital139 viewsEeegads, this picture even scares me. I think it's pretty funny that I'm wearing an "Ironman" t-shirt. Some Ironman I am --- slipping and falling on my bum in our own conservatory. May 5 2006

Our Oldest Pig201 viewsThis pig is a cross between an Iron Age pig (itself a cross between a Tamworth and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot. She must be nearing 16 or 17 years old, but she's still the fastest pig we have.
