Award Winning Eggs1415 viewsJust after I took this photograph, a gorgon came running up to me to ask if I had permission to take photos. I said "no," but I explained I was a Life Governor of the Society, and had taken photos at the show for years. I said if I needed permission, a simple sign or courteous comment would be appreciated. I'm 56 years old: far too old to be yelled at by petty functionaries guarding eggs.

The Crowd Alongside the Red Carpet912 viewsIt's always amusing when we walk down the red carpet to go into the BAFTA Film Awards. I always think the crowd wonders, "Who are those people anyway?" I took their picture --- they seemed pleased.

Our Seats in the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden2239 viewsThe 2008 BAFTA Film Awards. Our seats were in the last row of the highest balcony. We could barely see the stage. As I walk, slowly, with a stick I was worried that I was miles from the nearest lift (or even exit) should there be any sort of a problem.
