Nevsky Prospect - St. Petersburg717 viewsThis is where my wallet was stolen. This is one of the main streets in St. Petersburg, Russia. Marjorie and I were walking up the street (same direction as the girl with the yellow shoulder bag) on a sunny spring afternoon. A large man on a cell phone came out from behind the bus shelter (on the left in this photo) and blocked my path. Others crowded me from behind when I stopped suddenly, and my wallet was gone. The police didn't really care -- this is apparently typical in St. Petersburg.

Farewell lunch!684 viewsEmilia (in the green sweater) had been with us for 18 months and was off to pastures new - York to be exact. She was a fun colleague and we will miss her.
