Marjorie Hand-Feeding India467 viewsIt chucked with rain today (the Great British Summer). The dogs still all had two long walks, and a long garden run in the middle. Marjorie --- wearing her waxed jacket and cap --- feeding India his dinner, by hand. Just a little bit pampered. This is a screen capture from our 24/7 webcam.

Statue of Liberty from the Deck of the QE2696 viewsArriving in New York City by large ocean liner is thrilling. This was a warm spring day, April 1991. It was the first crossing of the year for the QE2 and we were a day late because we encountered 55 foot waves in the North Atlantic. The Statue of Liberty is in the distance.

Marjorie Visiting With Kiko387 viewsAt the Queen Mother Hospital, Royal Veterinary College. This is our first visit with Kiko after he had a couple of lung lobes removed surgically. We drove down to Potters Bar on Saturday afternoon to see how he was doing and to give him some fish (which we bought at a motorway stop on the M40 for 7.99).

Picanha Steaks on the Grill1196 viewsIt's important not to pierce or cut them when they're cooking --- that will keep in the majority of the jucies. The fat in grain-fed beef (and ours is certainly grain-fed) melts at a lower temperature than the fat in grass-fed beef. One food critic described Kobe beef as "self-basting." These steaks were delicious!
