Wooden Gates1079 viewsThe upper/southern hinge photographed from within the stable yard. We believe the hinge bracket should have been mounted on the centre of the gate post, but this was not possible because of the construction of the bracket.May 28, 2010

Upper Hinge - Southern Gate1774 viewsView from the stable yard of the upper hinge on the southern gate post. Because the bolt on the bracket was close to the hinge, the hinge itself could not be mounted in the centre of the gate post. The hinges, therefore, appear to have cracked the gate posts on both sides.May 28, 2010

Lower Portion of Gates1016 viewsPhotographed from within the stable yard. As a result of the gates moving or changing shape, the metal poles no longer fit in the posts set in concrete in the stable yard.May 28, 2010

Wooden Gate Closure1045 viewsThis photograph shows how the gates have warped. Our handyman sanded the edges of both gates -- when Albion refused to do so -- otherwise the gates would not close at all.May 28, 2010

Marjorie with a Swimming Pool of Coffee1129 viewsWe visited the lovely (not) Strensham Motorway Services on the M5 and Marjorie ordered coffee. I don't think she expected quite this large a cup.Feb 22, 2010
