The Bull Ring, Birmingham199 viewsPhotographed on December 23 2005 from a restaurant on the top floor of Selfridge's in the Bull Ring in Birmingham, looking down on a small band, in red coats, on the lower level. They were playing Christmas carols. This photo was taken with my small camera phone --- there's no strap on the phone, and I didn't want to drop it on the band some four floors below.

The Orchid House4430 viewsIt's a cold autumn day outdoors, but in the Whitecroft orchid house it's always summer. That's our indoor (outdoor?) shower on the right, with a shower head like the Savoy Hotel. The shower head is currently holding our insect-eating plant: Emilia has taken great care of it, and it's becoming the Triffid.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4070 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
