The Cider Mill and Our Track242 viewsLooking down our track to the north. Our fence is on the right (east), and The Cider Mill is on the left (west). Our track, owned by us, is the gravel area on the right of the house. Public footpath PW-578 also runs down the track.

Severn Bore - 2003358 viewsWe'd lived near the River Severn for a long time and had never seen the Severn Bore. It's a big wave that comes up river usually once each month. Customarily, only two of the annual bores are really big --- and this was one of them. We had breakfast at (where else?) the Severn Bore Pub.

The Cider Mill - 21 Colletts Green Road162 viewsA photograph of the eastern wall of The Cider Mill. This photograph was taken to show the proximity of our property to the house itself: we own the gravel driveway, so there is very little land (essentially only a narrow path) in front of The Cider Mill.

The Canal Path715 viewsA bit overgrown along what I call "the canal path," so this photo doesn't really show the water. We had to put the temporary wire fence in (left of photograph) as the dogs kept going into the water and duck weed. I took this photo to show the garden centre our empty trellis on the right. We've had honeysuckle there (yuck), and roses that haven't grown well. Marjorie wants a purple flower we've seen in our rambling.

Blue Skies -- At Last161 viewsAfter the wettest July since records began, we had sunshine at Whitecroft. It was fantastic to finally have some summer weather. Seeing this white, puffy cloud from the back garden made me very happy.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4079 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
