Kiko in Chair -- Eyes Open1139 viewsI took a picture of Kiko asleep in his chair and the flash woke him up. Poor boy. Other than opening his eyes, for a moment, he didn't move a muscle.

The Six Pears383 viewsWe bought these six pears from Solstice in London. They're from France, and the tips of the stems have been sealed with red wax. But the pears looked a bit beat up when they arrived (I took this photograph shortly after we opened the box). They taste great --- but I'm not overly fond of all the cuts and bruises.

Cao Dai Temple, Viet Nam473 views"Cao Dai actually means "palace or high tower", which is suitably apt. Built in 1927, the massive nine-story Cao Dai Temple is part cathedral and part pagoda. It is also a rude assault on your eyeballs."

Craig at Bab Al Shams Hotel423 viewsOur hotel in the desert, where we spent the last two days of our stay. As I couldn't walk during the trip -- other than very short distances -- I spent a lot of time sitting. A chance for me to catch up on my Sue Grafton mysteries.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4088 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
