Japanese Maple & Japanese Lantern238 زيارةThe maple is planted outside my office window to keep the (rare) summer sunlight out of my eyes. It seems to be taking over. The Japanese lantern is from outside our Makaiwa Street home in Hawaii, from the 1960's and 1970's.

The Ramp at the Manchester Opera House303 زيارةThis was our first look at the large ramp built at the back of the stage of the Manchester Opera House for Ross' entrance and exit. Jack Thompson is at the top of the ramp with the "Daisy Lifter" --- a sling to remove Ross from the theater if he just wouldn't walk up the ramp. Of course, Ross was happy to use the ramp, so the "lifter" was not used.

Latch on Stable Gate352 زيارةThis Came electronic latch was installed by Automation Gates in early 2005. The stable gate is exposed to direct wind, and the installers indicated that the wind on the gate was breaking the arm that connected the gate with the motor. At the same time, the motor was replaced with a different --- and presumably better --- motor. The latch meant that when the gate closed it would be supported, against the wind, on both ends. But the latch didn't always engage --- usually because of the wind.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4070 زيارةWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor.
