The Concorde in Aquaba, Jordan279 viewsFor my 40th Birthday (1989), Marjorie gave me a trip to Jordan on the Concorde. We started in Aquaba, with an overnight visit to Petra, and then took Concorde to Amman. While there, we went to the Dead Sea, and also road on an old Turkish steam railroad and had a picnic in the desert.

Petra, Jordan -- Sand For Sale283 viewsWhen I was playing around with this photo using Photoshop, I enlarged the lower left-hand corner where two gentlemen seem to be doing something. I had a good laugh when I could read the hand-lettered sign in the corner: "Petra Sand For Sale."

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4051 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
