Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake.

A Memorial at York Minster Cathedral211 viewsI liked all the swords and rifles int he ruffles at the bottom of this bust. And the winter light, through the stained glass windows, was attractive.

Belinda - Our House Cow233 viewsBelinda is a Guernsey cow. She's milked, by hand, each day to provide milk for us and for the dog resort. She's heavily pregnant --- due anytime soon --- so the milk has dried up as she puts all of her reserves into her calf.

Picanha Steaks on the Grill881 viewsIt's important not to pierce or cut them when they're cooking --- that will keep in the majority of the jucies. The fat in grain-fed beef (and ours is certainly grain-fed) melts at a lower temperature than the fat in grass-fed beef. One food critic described Kobe beef as "self-basting." These steaks were delicious!

Bonnie and bubble bath bubbles310 views Bonnie just loves the bubbles created from bubble bath, she eats the bubbles for some obscure reason.

The Tokyo Shimbun437 viewsThe Tokyo Shimbun is a large daily newspaper in Japan. They did an article about pampering pets throughout the world: dog swimming in Washington, D.C., acupuncture in Beijing, and swimming-acupuncture-massage at Lucies Farm. The photograph shows Richard Chaming, our veterinarian, with his dog Spice talking with Marjorie, as Gregorz swims in the pool.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4085 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
