| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

In Bed at 140 Dowsett Avenue1420 viewsMe (on the left), Shauna (the baby), and Nana. My guess is late 1955. This isn't the best photograph -- no faces showing. I've included it anyway because I thought the bedside table is interesting. I love the old dial telephone, the 1950's shoji lamps. But my favourite thing is the bottle of lager and cigarettes. I never remember my grandmother drinking --- but larger! How images can be shattered through the magnification power of Adobe Photoshop.

An Afternoon in the Countryside - New Hampshire, 1966941 viewsOn Thanksgiving of my freshman year at Rensselaer, my parents came to visit me on the East Coast. We all went to see my father's brother (and my uncle) Dinny Walsh. Here we are --- not exactly looking comfortable in the countryside. Dinny, me, Shauna, and my mother with a New England barn in the background.

Wild Boar in the Mud at Maggot's Croft1851 viewsThis field, originally an orchard, came with the prosaic name of Maggot's Croft. Despite our planting pig-resistant grass from Hurrells (a specialist seed company) the wild boar manage to remove all traces of grass in a matter of weeks.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4085 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
