55 New Bank Street, Claines, Worcester430 viewsThere's an entrance to a row of terraced houses on the right (in this photograph) of this house. That's possibly where 57 New Bank Street once stood.

Marjorie and the Viet Cong in the Cu Chi Tunnels379 viewsThe Cu Chi tunnels, a 75-mile-long underground maze where thousands of fighters and villagers could hide, are at the top of the list of tourist spots for Ho Chi Minh City. Marjorie was able to crawl through the lower levels (I'm too big). There was also this "photo op" spot, complete with fake rice bowls.

Gate to the Stable Yard134 viewsThis five bar gate has been a nightmare for us. We had it automated, but that never really worked. The prevailing wind seems to "hit" the gate and damage the automation mechanics, and recent (October 2008) repairs didn't last more than a few days. We've had people stand at the gate and watch us, like looking at a zoo exhibit. We are installing larger gates this coming week.

Marjorie at the Big Mine193 viewsThis large red mine, along the waterfront in Dartmouth, is apparently a place to put contributions to the Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners Royal Benevolent Society. But it was full.

Burj al Arab Hotel357 viewsWith the Madinat Jumeirah "souk" to the right. This isn't a souk like the traditional souks in Istanbul and Aman, but isn't a shopping centre either. It's quite spectacular.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4085 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
