| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Homeward bound188 viewsSlooooooooooooow on the M25. This was an horrific accident on the other side of the motorway - hence the gawpers on the bridge. One car smashed on its roof and the other lodged into the barrier on the hard shoulder. But, as usual, our side was slow for rubber neckers.

Ow, that hurts!316 viewsLord Rannoch, our Highland bull, was quick to charge the fence --- and, to our amazement, he actually broke through. There were five of us there at the time, including our veterinarian to do a castration of a young Gloucester bull. What this photograph doesn't show is Zbig and Gregorz running around yelling --- and finally actually separating the two bulls before any damage was done.

Installing The New Fence191 viewsNigel Roberts from Albion Fencing installing the new wooden fence beneath our oak tree to close this gap in the hedge. The hege bushes didn't grow: this area was once a small pond (beofre our time) so it's possible the pond was filled with builders' rubble. There was also a hole in the wire fence in this area, so sheep may have nibbled our hedge when it was young. The gap is closed now.

Marjorie and The Dogs182 viewsAs the Labradors and Ridgebacks are easy going, Marjorie and I thought a big 90-minute ball playing session would give them all some good exercise. Marjorie had to go back to get more balls -- in this photograph she's just returned with the new balls. The dogs look interested!

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4087 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
