Serial Number on Top of Mark V Diving Helmetšt. ogledov:309I understand that the tops of the diving helmets are often not matched with the breastplates. In our case, the breastplate is serial 1067 (part of the April 4, 1944 batch) and the top is serial 1545.

U.S. Navy Inspector's Stamp on Front of Helmetšt. ogledov:288Stamped on the front of the Mark V DESCO helmet, indicating it was inspected by the Navy --- presumably upon delivery in 1944.
