New Arrivals from Wales844 mol gekuckt ginnEleven new Bronze Turkeys from deepest mid Wales arrived at Lucies Farm on April 3, 2004. Cranberry (hatched here) is the blur in the front. She's taking time to make the acquaintance of her new friends.

Marjorie and Cranberry523 mol gekuckt ginnWe hatched Cranberry ourselves last summer. When the other turkeys came (we bought them from a hatchery) Cranberry looked horrified. After a few weeks she became friends with them, but at Christmas they went away, one at a time. Cranberry looked so lonely, so we bought her 10 friends. But she seems to prefer our company to that of the other turkeys. She comes running after us, and then crouches down to be rubbed.

Joe Keeping An Eye On The Turkeys520 mol gekuckt ginnWe have some Bronze Turkeys (we bought our Christmas turkey at Morrison's, so what does that say about us?). Here's Joe, the hunter, keeping an eye on the turkeys. They're oblivious of his presence --- or they know the fence is strong.

Tess Spots the Turkeys646 mol gekuckt ginnThe visiting dogs all seem to love watching the turkeys. I guess it's a bit like us watching fish in a tank.
