Spring Morning on the Whitecroft "Canal"Просмотров: 301Up early in the morning (unusual for me) to check on the newly arrived Bronze turkeys. I spotted these yellow flowers on the banks of the small Whitecroft "canal." It's spring.

Magnolias - WhitecroftПросмотров: 318I love magnolias, especially the big white ones you find all over the place in the U.S. south --- "grandaflora" I think they're called. This year the "English" magnolias have been gorgeous. I don't know if this is because of our hot summer in 2003. Whatever the reason, they're beautiful.

Whitecroft - Spring AfternoonПросмотров: 369April 25, 2004 -- Gorgeous Spring Sunday -- Marjorie and I spent the day reading the papers, etc., out on the lanai. (Actually, I read the papers while Marjorie tossed Kiko's ball.) Kevin mowed the front lawn on Friday afternoon, so took this photograph with the Cone Noses.

Artichoke and MintПросмотров: 316We got lost one day going to Coventry (or somepleace awful) and we found the National Herb Centre. They had the most wonderful, big, silver-green plants that turned out to be artichoke plants. Ours didn't grow anywhere as large, yet. But fresh artichokes from the garden are great. We've surrounded the little artichoke plant with mint. Whitecroft, on a warm Spring day in April, 2004.
