John's Waterfall - Food & New Product Showvista 444 vecesJohn Bushby made us the most wonderful POI waterfall using plywood and his favorite foam stuff. The POI letters glowed with a green light from below. It was truly magnificent.

Food and New Product Showvista 415 vecesWe always hated this show. Lots and lots of people, few buying anything. There for the free samples. John Bushby's waterfall was the best part of this show.

Spring Morning on the Whitecroft "Canal"vista 301 vecesUp early in the morning (unusual for me) to check on the newly arrived Bronze turkeys. I spotted these yellow flowers on the banks of the small Whitecroft "canal." It's spring.

Magnolias - Whitecroftvista 318 vecesI love magnolias, especially the big white ones you find all over the place in the U.S. south --- "grandaflora" I think they're called. This year the "English" magnolias have been gorgeous. I don't know if this is because of our hot summer in 2003. Whatever the reason, they're beautiful.

Whitecroft - Spring Afternoonvista 369 vecesApril 25, 2004 -- Gorgeous Spring Sunday -- Marjorie and I spent the day reading the papers, etc., out on the lanai. (Actually, I read the papers while Marjorie tossed Kiko's ball.) Kevin mowed the front lawn on Friday afternoon, so took this photograph with the Cone Noses.

Artichoke and Mintvista 316 vecesWe got lost one day going to Coventry (or somepleace awful) and we found the National Herb Centre. They had the most wonderful, big, silver-green plants that turned out to be artichoke plants. Ours didn't grow anywhere as large, yet. But fresh artichokes from the garden are great. We've surrounded the little artichoke plant with mint. Whitecroft, on a warm Spring day in April, 2004.

Whitecroft Garden - May 2004vista 301 vecesMarjorie, the dogs, and I spent all day today --- Sunday --- outside in the glorious sunshine. As we were going in, I walked around the garden with my camera and spotted these pretty flowers. Springtime turning into summer in the English countryside.

Glorious Spring Dayvista 467 vecesMay 17, 2004 --- Sunny and warm. The Black Rock Chickens, Bronze Turkeys, and Khaki Campbell Ducks are all seeking shade. It's so warm you can almost hear the grass growing.
Tapa-and-sprinkler.jpg
Tapa and the Daisy Sprinklervista 3527 vecesWe bought this silly yellow daisy sprinkler at the BBC Garden Show --- for Tapa. We knew he'd chase the water all over the place. And he did, for hours. When we shut it off, he'd stand at look at the limp daisy, waiting for it to do something. So we'd have to turn it on again.
