Japanese Maple & Japanese Lanternšt. ogledov:195The maple is planted outside my office window to keep the (rare) summer sunlight out of my eyes. It seems to be taking over. The Japanese lantern is from outside our Makaiwa Street home in Hawaii, from the 1960's and 1970's.

Repairing the Non-Return Valve - Whitecroft Trackšt. ogledov:205We had problems on Friday and Saturday because, without notice, Severn Trent needed to replace the non-return sewer valve. Apparently they couldn't inspect it in March because they couldn't open the manhole cover. But nothing was done, until our neighbour's house flooded with sewage. Looks like this guy got the manhole cover open! July 29 2005

The Truckman on Crookbarrow Roadšt. ogledov:242We had to abandon the Truckman here on the Friday night of the great rainstorm of 2007. We then had all sorts of problems with MMA, the insurance company that we pay for rescue/recovery services. I spent an hour in the Truckman, in the pouring rain, waiting for MMA to answer their 24/7 help line. They never did.

Colletts Green Road - Damagesšt. ogledov:194I took these photos for the Worcestershire County Council. There are numerous patches in the road in front of our home, and they are just getting worse. I know they have finite resources -- but it would be nice if they would do some more patching if they can't do a complete re-surfacing.
