Poi Happens Baseball CapПереглядів: 493The caps were great, but they were difficult to sell. Most people (including me) think that a baseball cap is really a gimme cap --- as in "gimme, for free."

Affectionate DonkeysПереглядів: 281Pedro and Geofredo nuzzling one another. They're standing right by the opening of the gate on the 11 acre field. Trying to escape?
Tamworth-boar.jpg
Tamworth Boar, Waiting for the VetПереглядів: 6786The best way we could think of isolating the Tamwroth boar so the vet could check his back leg was to lure him into the stock trailer with food. In the end, he managed to push open the metal gate and escape.

Nordkapp - NorwayПереглядів: 377Marjorie, Chase, and her friend Mandy at Nordkapp -- theoretically the most northern part of Europe. This photograph was taken at midnight, hence the yellow glow of the midnight sun.

Nordkapp - North Cape - NorwayПереглядів: 403The midnight sun (photographed at midnight) from the most northerly part of Europe. "The North Cape was named by English explorer Richard Chancellor in 1553 when he passed the cape in the search for a Northeast passage. From then on, it was occasionally visited by daring explorers who climbed the steep cliff face to the plateau; famous visitors include King Oscar II of Norway in 1873 and Thailand's King Chulalongkorn in 1907. Today, the North Cape is a major tourist attraction."

The View From Our Hotel in Northern NorwayПереглядів: 287The brown industrial building is the rest of our hotel. We were in the "annex" on the top of the hill. Can you imagine four (or so) months of cold darkness here?

Woodman's Cottage - Compacted GravelПереглядів: 303The excavation of about 4 inches of soil completed. The gravel has been spread and compacted, so it's almost as solid as the road. Photographed on the morning of September 19 2006. Nigel Roberts, from Albion Landscapes standing proudly with his shovel.

Compacting the GravelПереглядів: 276In the front of Woodman's Cottage, morning of September 19 2006. A beautiful, sunny, warm monring. This work was done for us by Albion Landscapes. They were the lowest of three bidders I contacted. They were very fast, and they did an excellent job.
