With all the publicity surrounding night vision during Gulf War II, we decided it was time to eBay them. Poor Marjorie got to be the night vision goggle model.

Severn Bore - 2003Переглядів: 316We'd lived near the River Severn for a long time and had never seen the Severn Bore. It's a big wave that comes up river usually once each month. Customarily, only two of the annual bores are really big --- and this was one of them. We had breakfast at (where else?) the Severn Bore Pub.

Surfin' the Severn BoreПереглядів: 305This is the large wave (bore) coming up stream, photographed from the Severn Bore Pub. They actually surf the wave, and ride kayaks, etc. Marjorie and I were surprised (although I don't know why) at how muddy the water was. Guess this isn't Makaha.

Chase and my Teddy BearПереглядів: 433I think this is a great picture of Chase, and it's the last known photo of my teddy. The teddy was purchased at the gift shop in Kapiolani Maternity Hospital the day I was born. It had a red felt tounge and wooden eyes. It went with me to university (my mother hid it in my suitcase). When Marjorie and I moved to the U.K. in 1986, Chase asked if she could keep it. And then my ex-wife, the Rev. Marcia, made Chase give it away. Lost teddies. Stinky ex-wives.

A rose from outside our kitchen window, WhitecroftПереглядів: 604Kevin planted three rose bushes outside the kitchen at Whitecroft, and they bloom 10 months out of each year. And when they're not blooming, they drop these great pink petals on our parsley and chives.
