Magnolias - Whitecroft317 x bekekenI love magnolias, especially the big white ones you find all over the place in the U.S. south --- "grandaflora" I think they're called. This year the "English" magnolias have been gorgeous. I don't know if this is because of our hot summer in 2003. Whatever the reason, they're beautiful.

Whitecroft - Spring Afternoon368 x bekekenApril 25, 2004 -- Gorgeous Spring Sunday -- Marjorie and I spent the day reading the papers, etc., out on the lanai. (Actually, I read the papers while Marjorie tossed Kiko's ball.) Kevin mowed the front lawn on Friday afternoon, so took this photograph with the Cone Noses.

Artichoke and Mint315 x bekekenWe got lost one day going to Coventry (or somepleace awful) and we found the National Herb Centre. They had the most wonderful, big, silver-green plants that turned out to be artichoke plants. Ours didn't grow anywhere as large, yet. But fresh artichokes from the garden are great. We've surrounded the little artichoke plant with mint. Whitecroft, on a warm Spring day in April, 2004.
