Lord Rannoch of Luciesvista 15484 vecesLord Rannoch is getting on in years, and suffers from arthritis. We're moving him from the back barn into the stable block where we can keep a closer eye on him. While he is slow when he walks, he does get up and walk around periodically, and was happy to follow the feed bucket to the stable block.

Wild Boar in the Mud From Recent Heavy Rainsvista 261 vecesDespite the presence of elaborate land drains (installed by us when we purchased this property) it still gets very muddy when we have heavy rains. We are installing hard core on the upper portion of the field so the wild pigs will have a dry area.

Wild Boar in the Mud at Maggot's Croftvista 1808 vecesThis field, originally an orchard, came with the prosaic name of Maggot's Croft. Despite our planting pig-resistant grass from Hurrells (a specialist seed company) the wild boar manage to remove all traces of grass in a matter of weeks.
