The Tamworth Onevista 267 vecesOne of our three new Tamworth ladies. The grass is still green --- they've only been on it for three days. In three weeks it will be a sea of mud. As they've been raised by the City of Gloucester in a "petting zoo" environment, they're very easy to handle.

The Tamworth Twovista 328 vecesGood Friday, 2004. These two Tamworth pigs --- sisters --- recently arrived at Lucies Farm from the City of Gloucester. They are enjoying the green grass of spring, but won't take long to convert it into mud.

Aberdeen Angus Bull & Gloucester Cowvista 431 vecesOur Aberdeen Angus bull, Rull Balletcruz B012, enjoys a summer meal with Betty, our Gloucester cow. The story of Gloucester cows is quite interesting: in 1972 there were only 68 Gloucester cattle in the world. Please visit the Gloucester Cattle Society website. Note the roof thatcher in the background.

Just Part of the Four Acre Fieldvista 364 vecesIn this section of the field, we have Betty, our Gloucester Cow, three Aberdeen Angus females (a mother and her two daughters), and our Aberdeen Angus bull. Just another sunny day in Worcestershire.

Kune Kune - Gloucester Crossvista 5214 vecesDon't ask me how, but somehow Chase's kune kune pigs mated with our Gloucester Old Spot boar, and this piggy is the result. When I tried to take her photo she kept trying to hide behind the water trough. I guess I can't blame her for not wanting to have her photo snapped.

Kune Kune - Gloucester Old Spot Crossvista 1557 vecesLooks like something from Star Wars.

Betty (Gloucester) and Friendvista 2337 vecesBetty, our Gloucester cow, is hopefully a week or two away from having her first calf. Here she is with one of our Aberdeen Angus heiffers. Note the roof thatching in the background. Rural England on an early summer afternoon.

Gloucester Bullvista 524 vecesOur Gloucester cow, Betty, is expecting her first child shortly. The Gloucester breed has quite an interesting story: please see their society's website.

In the Four Acre Fieldvista 8582 vecesThree different types of pigs: in the foreground, the large black pig is a fairly elderly (but hugely fast) Iron Age - Gloucester Old Spot cross. The red pig is a pure Tamworth, and the piglet coming out of the ark is a Berkshire.
