Poi Bagvu 598 foisIt was almost impossible to get a good photograph of the humble poi bag. Romeo at Camera Hawaii tried all of his considerable skills, and we were happy with the outcome.

Speed Camera Partnershipvu 453 foisI saw these folks from the Speed Camera Partnership blowing up balloons (hmmm). As their cameras threaten to take our photograph at unwanted times, I thought I'd take their photograph. They didn't appear to be speeding, but I just need to check the calibration of my camera.

Mother Looking Pleasedvu 381 foisI think this was taken at Honolulu Airport. Note the luggage and my little travelling blazer: in those days we dressed up to take an airplane somewhere. I was already taking photographs: note the camera. I'd obviously done something to make my mother happy, since she has such a Happy Face. Not!

Papeete the Alpacavu 355 foisI get the names of our three alpacas confused. This may, in fact, be Brad. The alpacas are tremendously curious, and he was quite amused by the flash on my camera.

My Leica R8 35mm Single Lens Reflex Cameravu 318 foisI've been waiting for the Leica Digital Modul R to come out so that I could convert my Leica R8 to a digital camera. But the wait seems endless, and the recent review in Amateur Photographer wasn't stellar. So off to eBay. I can still use my Leica lenses on my Canon EOS 1D Mark II digital camera.

Me Taking A Photo of My Puffy Pantsvu 241 foisI'd put on my Northern Face down-insulated pants and my foot cast and it was all quite funny. I tried to take a photo of the stylish combination using a mirror in our hotel room. I think the look on Marjorie's face is funny -- sort of quiet resignation.

Chase at the Sandy Lane Hotel, Barbadosvu 325 foisI'd just purchased a new Nikonos V underwater camera, and Chase and I were trying it out in the shallow water in front of our hotel, the Sandy Lane. Summer 1992, before starting our Windstar cruise.

Marjorie at the Bolex Camera Factoryvu 230 foisI always wanted a Bolex movie camera -- it was the "gold standard." When I finally could afford one, video cameras had taken over. Still, we found this little factory in Switzerland, and bought a new Bolex 16mm movie camera. I think they make them by hand, one at a time.
