Wild Boar in the Mud From Recent Heavy Rains260 x bekekenDespite the presence of elaborate land drains (installed by us when we purchased this property) it still gets very muddy when we have heavy rains. Wild Boar in the Mud at Maggot's Croft1807 x bekekenThis field, originally an orchard, came with the prosaic name of Maggot's Croft. Despite our planting pig-resistant grass from Hurrells (a specialist seed company) the wild boar manage to remove all traces of grass in a matter of weeks.

Waterlogged Field with Wild Boar256 x bekekenThe recent heavy rains were too much for the land drains in this field. (On the day this photo was taken -- January 13 2008 -- the River Severn, just down the road from us, flooded over its banks into parts of the City of Worcester.)

Stones From An Ancient Civilisation?252 x bekekenWe tried concrete blocks as a foundation for the wild boar pig arcs (or huts). This is what the wild boar thought of that plan.
