Marjorie and Cathy - Heathrow311 kez bakıldıCathy leaving to return to Australia after her two-week visit. Her Singapore Airlines flight delayed by two hours. We went to Sbarro as it was all that was open. I wanted spaghetti with meatballs, but they only had the meatballs. So I had meat lasagna, and the kind Sbarro man cut a meatball in quarters and hid it under my lasagna. The girls had vegetable lasagna which they ate in full, despite the absence of a smuggled meatball.

Bless Marjorie --- she drove me up, and read magazines and newspapers while I attended the two-day course. I took this photo with my wide-angle lens while we were waiting for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Fairoaks Mermaid and Marjorie2638 kez bakıldıFairoaks Mermaid has just given birth to ten piglets. I took this photograph from the door of her pig ark. Marjorie is looking in the little hatch, and from Marjorie's viewpoint you can see the piglets. Mother was calm and considerate throughout. For those who think pigs are dirty, look at how she gleams, and look at how clean she keeps her home.

The Arrival -- Honolulu6121 kez bakıldıMy parents met at Leyland Powers, a school of theater and broadcast in Boston (long gone, I'd guess -- Google comes up with nothing). They drove across country and then took a plane (shown) to meet my maternal grandparents in Hawaii. On the way, they got married in Nevada. This photo shows Birdie (my aunt), my father, mother, and grandmoter at Honolulu Airport, summer 1948. I can imagine it was an interesting arrival.

I was already taking photographs: note the camera. I'd obviously done something to make my mother happy, since she has such a Happy Face. Not!
