Here are a small portion of the logs cut down in the woodland, awaiting pick-up by the sawmill. Apparenty the logs are used to make the corrugation inside a piece of cardboard. Marjorie looks small next to the pile of logs.

A View of Lord's Wood249 x angesehenLord's Wood has quite a big "notch" in its southern side. This is the view from the gate on one side of this notch, looking across to the other gate. It's surprising that this photo was taken in late October 2005 -- a sunny and warm day.

Some of the Trees Cut Down in Lord's Wood254 x angesehenAll of the trees are cut down in accordance with our Woodland Grant Scheme, and under the supervision of our forestry consultant. It's surprising how much more light this has brought into the woodland. I understand that this will help the flora on the forest floor to thrive.
