Whitecroft Garden - May 2004vista 301 vecesMarjorie, the dogs, and I spent all day today --- Sunday --- outside in the glorious sunshine. As we were going in, I walked around the garden with my camera and spotted these pretty flowers. Springtime turning into summer in the English countryside.

Sleeping Marjorievista 465 vecesI'm sure Marjorie was thrilled that I took this picture of her sleeping. And even happier that I've posted it on the internet.

Michaelmas Daisies - Whitecroft Gardenvista 278 vecesI'd never even heard of a Michaelmas Daisy until I spotted a road sign in Malvern one day pointing to the National Michaelmas Daisy Collection. We actually paid a visit and discovered that these daisies bloom in the autumn. And, to our surprise, we have Michaelmas daisies in our garden. Here are some just outside our front lounge, blooming in October.

Humphrey B. Bear - Crime Scene Photographvista 330 vecesHumphrey B. Bear has been savagely attacked by an unknown assailant. His injuries are fatal. We suspect one Tapa Dog, especially because there was Bear tissue spread throughout the front lounge, and Tapa Dog was the only known occupant of the lounge at the time. He had earlier displayed an unnatural interest in Bear.

Humphrey B. Bear - Crime Scene Photographvista 486 vecesIn addition to horrific injuries to his head (pending the autopsy results, it is thought that the facial injuries were the ones that caused Bear's death), there were also substantial injuries to Bear's left paw. In fact, his left paw was entirely chewed off by canine teeth. The tissue from Bear's paw was spread over a 10 sq. ft. area in what we believe was a horrific attack. We are waiting for further details from forensics.

Christmas 2004 - In My Reindeer Maskvista 342 vecesFrom Cathy and John in Australia. Who invents these things anyway?

Christmas 2004 - The Aftermathvista 372 vecesCathy and John wrapped all of our presents in matching Christmas fabric --- they were beautiful. But we managed to get the shredder paper from the box all over the floor, and then it clogged the vacuum cleaner.

Christmas 2004vista 308 vecesWe have five visiting dogs for Christmas -- so we took a few minutes out, with Kiko, to open our presents. Now to walk dogs, cuddle, give cookies, etc. --- the theme this year is Dogs.

Winter Morning - Maggot's Croftvista 414 vecesThe field behind our house is called Maggot's Croft (it clearly came with that name --- not something we thought up). It was once an apple orchard, and these old trees are left from those days. Taken by Marjorie on a cold winter morning, December 28 2004.
