| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Marmadukes Luxury Hotel and the Four Poster Bed230 viewsFor some reason the management or decorator at Marmadukes Luxury Hotel thought the four poster bed (designed, apparently, by the guy who designed the beds in the Harry Potter movies) was the most important thing in the room. It filled the room. In fact, one of the four posts actually went up and into the antique chandelier. You couldn't use the single bedside lamp: it was behind a non-retractable curtain. Tapa and His Favourite Toy1000 viewsWow, Tapa looks ferocious! And how dare we spray water in his face and make him angry? In fact, this is Tapa's favourite game. If we stop spraying him and try to spray the garden, he runs in front of the hose. And if we shut the hose off, he stands guard over the nozzle. In this 1/1500 of a second exposure, Tapa looks mean. He's not --- and after his garden play, he went to sleep on my lap.

Teddy and The Garden Hose169 viewsMy gosh, if the RSPCA sees this photo they'll be over to arrest us! While this looks like we're shooting Teddy with a fire hose, we actually have crummy water pressure at Whitecroft, and a special garden nozzle where it's more air than water. And Teddy kept coming back for more.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4083 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
