Scottish | Kobe Topside with Home Grown Veggiesvu 9327 foisBeestings is the first milk from a cow (otherwise called colostrum). We've just acquired a "house" cow, Carole. She has a new calf, but there's plenty of colostrum. A farm treat is beestings Yorkshire pudding. So Marjorie made them --- and what better to have with a slow-cooked, tender Scottish | Kobe roast and vegetables grown here at Lucies Farm.

The Tamworth Pigs Showing Offvu 602 foisWe moved the wild pigs into the next paddock -- to help us churn it up before planting grass in the spring. The Tamworth males ran up and down the fence, with the wild boar on the other side. The chickens and alpacas weren't impressed by this show of piggy macho.
