The Police HelicopterПереглядів: 325This helicopter spent a lot of time overhead. We didn't know if they were taking our photo (why?) so I took their photo. We later learned they were looking for a missing person.

WestbrookПереглядів: 5363Westbrook is a Berkshire pig boar. He currently lives in the tall grass of the chicken field. I sat down to take his photograph and he wanted to take large bites out of my legs, arm, and (especially) shoes. He's getting big and strong, so I suspect my sitting on the ground with him will be a thing of the past.

The Mine in DartmouthПереглядів: 329There is a big red mine on the sea front in Dartmouth with a coin slot. The brass plaque says that all funds go to The Shipwrecked Fisherman & Mariners Royal Benevolent Society, but the mine seemed full. As the mine is about a meter in diameter --- if it's full of coins it must be holding a treasure trove.

Nevsky Prospect - St. PetersburgПереглядів: 514This is where my wallet was stolen. This is one of the main streets in St. Petersburg, Russia. Marjorie and I were walking up the street (same direction as the girl with the yellow shoulder bag) on a sunny spring afternoon. A large man on a cell phone came out from behind the bus shelter (on the left in this photo) and blocked my path. Others crowded me from behind when I stopped suddenly, and my wallet was gone. The police didn't really care -- this is apparently typical in St. Petersburg.

Sunapee Harbor - New HampshireПереглядів: 4289We took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor.
