| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

| Walsh Family AlbumPhotographs of our family -- when we were young, or were working, or were travelling, having fun, being sad, putting on make-up, cooking, playing with the bull terriers, eating (lots of these), living. |

Dave the Dog - His Cake as It Arrived331 viewsHere's the "after" picture of Dave the Dog's birthday cake, courtesy of DHL. We attached the cake to the cake board, attached the cake board to the cake box, attached the cake box to the inner box (shown). The inner box was then packed in an outer box, and the space between the two filled with crumpled newspaper. But DHL clearly gave the box a good toss around the depot, despite the "fragile - dog cake" labels on the outside.

Birchfields 1284 viewsThe ten acre field at Birchfields, with the crush and small "management" pen in the foreground. We planted all of the trees --- on the left and right --- after we purchased Birchfields. The green "grass" is actually weeds: we are in the process of renewing the grass, and these weeds need to be sprayed off before the grass is planted.

Taking the Caravan Apart260 viewsTaking the caravan apart in situ seemed like the only option available: we couldn't find a way to get it back down our track.

Joe Looking at Canal670 viewsWe have a 1/4 acre duck pond at the front of our property. To raise the level of the pond, and extend it somewhat, we built a small dam down one stream. (Not exactly Hoover Dam.) We call this "the canal," even though it's probably not more than three feet deep at its deepest point. It's a site of attraction for Retrievers and Labradors!

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4086 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
