| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Marjorie Descends the Stairs357 viewsThis curved stairway looks like it is in the hotel lobby. It is, in fact, the stairs that go from one floor of our suite in the Burj al Arab to the other floor. And I gather that we had a "basic" suite. The hotel only has suites.

Nevsky Prospect - St. Petersburg376 viewsThis is where my wallet was stolen. This is one of the main streets in St. Petersburg, Russia. Marjorie and I were walking up the street (same direction as the girl with the yellow shoulder bag) on a sunny spring afternoon. A large man on a cell phone came out from behind the bus shelter (on the left in this photo) and blocked my path. Others crowded me from behind when I stopped suddenly, and my wallet was gone. The police didn't really care -- this is apparently typical in St. Petersburg.

Artichoke Plant155 viewsWhoops, it looks like we didn't pick the artichokes in time to cook and eat them. They'll soon become huge open flowers. As much as I like eating artichokes, they're also pretty spectacular when they bloom.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4088 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
