| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Shirley and John Walsh on the steps of Leland Powers School359 viewsMy parents met at Leland Powers in Boston. I don't know if this is a school photograph or not. The mystery, at least to me, is what happened to the person above my father whose face has been scraped away? My mother Shirley is on the lowest step (left) and my father John Walsh on the same step (right). One of my mother's friends from Hawaii, Barbara (Bappy) Pickup, is sitting on the top step. Circa 1948.

"Spooky" Alice and Her Calf233 views"Spooky" Alice is our only Highland cow minus her horns. Our former stockmen wouldn't handle her as they felt she was too dangerous, so the compromise was to keep her (instead of kill her) but minus her horns. Alice and her calf have now moved to a new home in Wales.

Arriving in New York City on the QE2 - April 1991197 viewsThis panoramic photograph, taken with a Widelux camera from the top deck of the QE2, is now quite poignant because of the prominence of the two towers of the World Trade Center. We couldn't have imagined when we took this photograph on a warm spring day in April 1991 that just over a decade later both towers would be gone. In November 2008 the QE2 sails to Dubai where she will be permanently moored.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4086 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
