| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

The Duck Weed Pond245 viewsBehind all the overgrown grass is the duck weed pond where Kiko likes to throw his ball. We're working on removing the overgrown plants, and getting the fountain (which you can't see anyway) to work again.

Birchfields 1284 viewsThe ten acre field at Birchfields, with the crush and small "management" pen in the foreground. We planted all of the trees --- on the left and right --- after we purchased Birchfields. The green "grass" is actually weeds: we are in the process of renewing the grass, and these weeds need to be sprayed off before the grass is planted.

Molly Moe & Barks awaiting the bubbles with anticipation171 viewsCassie and Barclay were wonderful guests. I don't know whether they think this is food or not but in the final event, Molly Moe played with the bubbles, Barclay was disinterested.

Me Sitting Outside The Ticket Office with Diego277 viewsWe never would have found this small porta-cabin --- the main ticket office for the opening ceremony of the Olympics --- were it not for Diego. The ticket folks brought me a chair and put me on some gravel (at least in the sunshine) while they tried to sort out the buraucracy. Although we paid 30 Euros for courier service, and sent four e-mail messages and made four telephone calls, they "forgot" to print our two tickets.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4084 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
