| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Scottish | Kobe Topside with Home Grown Veggies9208 viewsBeestings is the first milk from a cow (otherwise called colostrum). We've just acquired a "house" cow, Carole. She has a new calf, but there's plenty of colostrum. A farm treat is beestings Yorkshire pudding. So Marjorie made them --- and what better to have with a slow-cooked, tender Scottish | Kobe roast and vegetables grown here at Lucies Farm.

Swimming Berkshire Pig184 viewsOctober 20 2006 --- a cold English day. Then Sam, the photographer, arrived and the sun came out and it looked like summer, for at least a short while. We took this Berkshire pig swimming in the outdoor pool. We hope she'll be in the Independent newspaper tomorrow.

The North Atlantic From Our Cabin on the QE2253 viewsOur cabin was at the top of the ship, so it really rock-and-rolled in the high seas. This was the first crossing of the North Atlantic by the QE2 in 1991, and we encountered 55 foot seas. The stabilisers had to be retracted, and we sailed to the south in a futile effort to avoid the worst of the weather. We were a day late arriving in New York City.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4071 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
