| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

The Lap Dogs234 viewsAs Marjorie and Cathy relax on the couch, Mana and Barney play Cujo. They're good at showing each other (and us) their pearly white teeth. They never actually bite each other.

A View of Lord's Wood305 viewsLord's Wood has quite a big "notch" in its southern side. This is the view from the gate on one side of this notch, looking across to the other gate. It's surprising that this photo was taken in late October 2005 -- a sunny and warm day.

Marmadukes Luxury Hotel and the Four Poster Bed230 viewsFor some reason the management or decorator at Marmadukes Luxury Hotel thought the four poster bed (designed, apparently, by the guy who designed the beds in the Harry Potter movies) was the most important thing in the room. It filled the room. In fact, one of the four posts actually went up and into the antique chandelier. You couldn't use the single bedside lamp: it was behind a non-retractable curtain. Marjorie trying to read in the dark, in this hotel-from-Hell.

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort - Dubai1171 viewsOn the morning of our departure, the front desk manager called Marjorie outside to show her the rising sun. [url=http://www.jumeirahbabalshams.com/]Bab Al Shams[/rl] means Gate of the Sun, and we could see why the hotel got its name.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4086 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
